Sacred music concert in Stirniene church

Concert in Gelnhausen, Germany
Since we are the Grand Prix winners of the competition “Heart of Europe”, we have the honour to be invited to Gelnhausen for a concert. If you happen to be in Gelnhausen between October 7 and 9, we will be happy to see you!

Concerts in France
Between November 4 and 6, 2011, we will have concerts in the South of France – in Varetz. We've got involved in a very interesting project “Women beyond silence” on three outstanding artists in the turn of the 19th and 20th century – a poet Aspazija (Latvia), a writer Colette (France) and a painter Paula Modersohn - Becker (Germany). We will perform the music by Rihards Dubra, Renāte Stivriņa and Raimonds Pauls with the lyrics by Aspazija. There will be also a first performance of a piece by Rihards Dubra by motives of the paintings of Paula Modersohn-Becker.

A new CD
We have recorded a new CD Rihard’s Christmas (Christmas songs by Rihards Dubra with lyrics by Latvian poets).
Presentation concerts:
• November 29 ar 3 pm in Anglican Church (Riga). The presentation of our new Rihard’s Christmas CD and music book (publisher: Musica Baltica);
• November 30 at 12 noon in Ogre Evangelical Lutheran Church.

From December 7 to 17 we will sing in Hengelo, Oldenzaal,
Enschede, Haaksbergen, Neede, Almelo, Zwillbrock and in other
places in Germany and the Netherlands.

XVI International
Stasys Šimkus Choir Competition in Klaipėda (Lithuania)
We did great! We won a Grand Prix and two special prizes,
one for the most valuable programme and the other for the
performance of Lauda Anima Mea by Rihards Dubra. Thanks to
everyone, who kept the fingers crossed! |

Our new
home
From July 1 we are under a wing of Ogre Culture Centre. We
love our new home very much!

Germany and
Austria 2007
We travelled together with a composer Rihards Dubra because
we were singing a lot of his music. We felt really welocmed
there, we had 12 concerts in 14 days and the reviews even
said that: "the ensemble sounded so airly, light and skilful
that it can be compared to the taste of chocolate foam...”

Latvian Festival of Arts in Adelaide
We celebrated Christmas and New year in Australia and participated
in 51st Australian Latvian Festival of Arts in Adelaide, giving
concerts also in Melbourne and Sydney.

It was a wonderful opportunity to travel together with a famous
Latvian composer Rihards Dubra.

giving a concert of jazz music together with Riga Groove Electro,
as well as a concert of sacred music.
